Aerials[12]
I couldn't have conjured up a better day to fly. My eyes took in nothing but rich blue sky and thick paned glass as I sat glued the entire time to my square. These slides are mostly landing into, then out of, the Salt Lake City Airport as I flew from Cincinnati to the beautiful Californian Provence.
2009 Shaolin-Do Kung Fu Tournament[139]
My first martial arts tournament. Every year the entire Shaolin-Do Association under Grandmaster Sin Kwang Thé meets from around the country in Lexington, KY for their annual Fall Gathering and Tournament.
Coal Country—Isabella, PA[12]
A wedding brought me back to see the area where my Grandfather Noga grew up. This area of Southwestern Pennsylvania was a big coal mining community, which wasn't too surprising seeing as how the black bricks were litteraly littered everywhere. This was a station that took the coal carted up from the nearby mine, now sealed, and lifted it into a barge on the river to carry downstream. The entire structure was moaning and swaying with the river as I toured the cabin—not the safest thing I've ever climbed into.
